A report has also been sought from the international company and Trans World regarding the incident.
Internet services restored nationwide
After the technical fault was fixed, internet speed returned to normal across all areas.
PTA officials said the SMW-5 submarine cable is now fully operational, while internet services, speed and connectivity have been restored as usual across the country.

The PTA said it is continuously monitoring internet traffic and the overall connectivity situation.
The authority added that it remains in close contact with all concerned parties to ensure secure, reliable and uninterrupted telecom and broadband services across Pakistan.
