Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir arrived at the Imam Khomeini Hussainiya in Tehran.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq were also present.
PM Shehbaz attended the condolence ceremony for the martyred former Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The Pakistani leadership expressed condolences to the Iranian president and other senior Iranian leaders.

The delegation paid tribute to the late former Iranian Supreme Leader. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Information Minister Atta Tarar, and PPP leader Nayyar Hussain Bukhari also attended the ceremony.
Arrival in Tehran
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reached Tehran with a high-level delegation to attend the funeral prayers of martyred Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, as Iran prepares to begin six days of condolence ceremonies.
Senior Iranian officials welcomed the Prime Minister and the Pakistani delegation upon their arrival at the airport.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and PPP leader Nayyar Bukhari are accompanying the prime minister.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was also present at the airport in Tehran. According to Iranian media, Naqvi had already arrived in Tehran to attend the condolence ceremonies for Ayatollah Khamenei.
Field Marshal Asim Munir arrives in Tehran
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has also arrived in Tehran to attend the funeral of martyred Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Iran’s defence minister, interior minister and senior civil and military officials welcomed him at the airport. Iranian Interior Minister also received Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on his arrival, while Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was present on the occasion.
Senate chairman also reaches Tehran
Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gilani arrived in Tehran with a high-level delegation to attend the funeral prayers and burial of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
Deputy speaker of the Iranian Parliament welcomed the Senate shairman, who was also presented with a guard of honour. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi accompanied the Senate chairman during the visit.
Gilani offers condolences
Senate Chairman Gilani met the deputy speaker of the Iranian Parliament, where both sides discussed bilateral relations, parliamentary cooperation and matters of mutual interest.
Gilani expressed heartfelt condolences to the Iranian leadership, parliament and people, saying Pakistan stands in complete solidarity with Iran in this hour of grief.
He said Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was an influential and dignified figure in the Islamic world, whose religious, intellectual and political services would always be remembered.

The Senate chairman said Pakistan and Iran share historic, religious, cultural and brotherly relations, adding that these ties would be further strengthened.
During his visit to Tehran, Gilani is also expected to hold important meetings with Iranian leadership and parliamentary officials.
Condolence ceremonies to begin
Iranian media reported that six-day condolence ceremonies for martyred Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will begin as scheduled tomorrow.
Pakistan’s participation at the highest political, parliamentary and military levels reflects Islamabad’s solidarity with Iran during the mourning period.
