Actor Feroze Khan has spoken for the first time about the intense criticism and emotional turmoil he faced following his divorce from Alizeh Sultan.
In an interview, Feroze Khan revealed that the situation pushed him into severe depression and left him feeling close to death.
Feroze Khan said the period after his divorce was filled with personal attacks and legal battles. He shared that several cases were filed against him and, at one point, he was not allowed to meet his own children.
The actor said the combined pressure of public criticism and limited access to his children left him deeply shaken. “I was in such severe depression that I felt I was close to death,” he stated in the podcast teaser.
Work halted, social isolation deepened crisis
Khan revealed that his career came to a sudden halt during this time. He avoided people, withdrew from social circles, and even thought about leaving the industry. “I felt if I didn’t get work, I would become a tailor,” he said, describing how helpless he felt.
He further shared that one day he fainted at home due to the overwhelming mental stress. “I felt like I was about to die,” he added.
Feroze Khan credited his recovery to his mother’s constant prayers. He said she recited Ayatul Kursi for him and prayed day and night, which he believes helped him gradually return to life.
According to him, it was only his mother’s unwavering support that kept him grounded during the most difficult phase of his life.
Background
Feroze Khan married Alizeh Sultan in 2018, and the couple has two children. Their marriage ended in divorce in 2022 after Alizeh accused him of domestic violence. Following the separation, both parties engaged in legal proceedings related to child custody and expenses.
A court eventually granted custody of the children to the mother while allowing the children to meet their father. Khan was also directed to provide financial support.
