The Pakistan Meteorological Department's (PMD) Cyclone Warning Centre has issued its final alert on Cyclone Shakti.
According to details surfaced on Tuesday, over the last six hours, the pressure system moved south-southeastwards. The cyclone currently lies 940 km southwest of Karachi. The cyclone has weakened to a low-pressure area.
It will continue to weaken after shifting east-southeastwards. Fishermen in Balochistan and Sindh may resume fishing activities from tomorrow.
Earlier on Monday, the PMD Tropical Cyclone Warning Center has issued its eleventh alert, confirming that Severe Cyclone Shakti has now weakened into a regular cyclone.
According to the PMD officials, Cyclone Shakti is currently located around 910 kilometers southwest of Karachi and is expected to further weaken into a depression within the next 24 hours.
