Once reserved for special occasions and specific regions, this dish is now available in a more accessible, modern format—sold by the kilogram.
Khaddi Kebab, a signature dish of Balochistan, is more than just a meal—it’s a sensory experience. Its aroma fills the air, enticing appetites and evoking the essence of Baloch culinary tradition.
Historically, preparing Khaddi Kebab was a significant part of festivals and major gatherings. The process involved whole goats, special spices, and hours of meticulous cooking. Now, however, the Afghan Khaddi Kabab House on Najmuddin Road in Quetta has reinvented the dish to suit contemporary demands while preserving its traditional soul.
Expressing his thoughts, the hotel owner said: "Food lovers say that despite modern methods, the preparation of Khaddi Kebab still honours its original tradition. When paired with Kabuli Pulao, the taste becomes even more delightful."
Local resident said: “After two and a half to three hours of cooking, the aroma and flavour of the dish truly captivate the senses.”
