Security forces killed five terrorists belonging to what the military described as Fitna-ul-Hindustan during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Panjgur district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
According to the military’s media wing, the operation was conducted on August 10, 2026, after intelligence reports indicated the presence of terrorists in the area.
Security forces engaged the militants during the operation and killed five terrorists, ISPR said.
A large quantity of arms, ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) was recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists, according to the statement. The recovered explosives were destroyed at the site.
Clearance operation launched
Following the operation, security forces launched clearance and sanitisation operations in the surrounding area to eliminate any remaining threats, ISPR said.
The military described the operation as part of the ongoing counterterrorism campaign aimed at restoring peace and eliminating terrorist groups it says operate with foreign support.
ISPR said security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue operations against terrorism under the “Commitment to Stability” vision approved by the Federal Apex Committee for the National Action Plan.
The military reiterated that efforts to eliminate terrorism and foreign-sponsored militant networks would continue across the country.
