Xiaomi has expanded its Redmi smartphone lineup with the launch of the Redmi Note 17 5G, bringing a large battery, 5G connectivity and a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display to the mid-range smartphone market.
The smartphone is equipped with a 7,700mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging, offering extended usage for users who spend long hours on their devices.
Xiaomi says the phone can deliver more than two days of battery life under typical usage conditions.
120Hz AMOLED display
The Redmi Note 17 5G features a 6.99-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The higher refresh rate is designed to provide smoother scrolling and improved responsiveness while browsing, watching videos and playing games.
Snapdragon processor and 5G connectivity
The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor and supports 5G networks, positioning it as a mid-range option for users seeking faster mobile connectivity.
For photography, the smartphone features a 50-megapixel main camera.
Durability and protection
Xiaomi has also focused on durability, equipping the Redmi Note 17 5G with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
The device carries an IP65 rating, offering protection against dust and water exposure.
Price and availability
The Redmi Note 17 5G was launched in India on August 6, 2026, with a reported starting price of ₹24,999 for the base variant.
Xiaomi has yet to announce an official launch date or pricing for the Pakistani market.
