Dubai’s popular humanoid robot Bu Sunaidah has announced its ‘marriage’ to fellow robot Moza, drawing attention on social media.
Bu Sunaidah is known for its interesting and unusual videos, but the announcement surprised social media users. The robot’s official social media account carried the announcement, along with several pictures from the ceremony.
According to media reports, Bo Suneida was developed by S.S. Lootah Group - Since 1956 and is based on the Unitree G1 humanoid robot, originally designed for research and educational purposes.
The robot has gained wide popularity on social media through videos featuring Emirati culture, traditions and appearances at various public events.
The company behind the robot clarified that the ceremony was not a real legal or religious marriage, but content prepared for social media.
