Unidentified armed men opened fire on the Ababeel Police Force patrol in Bajaur, leaving four policemen martyred and two others injured.
The incident occurred in the Nawey Kalay area of Khar tehsil in Bajaur district, police said. Station House Officer Gul Zada confirmed the firing and stated that the injured personnel were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Khar.
Police said the Ababeel squad was on routine patrol during the holy month of Ramazan when it came under attack.
