Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said no one would be allowed to create divisions between the armed forces and the public.
The remarks were made at the 273rd Corps Commanders Conference and it was chaired by the field marshal at General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi.
According to the ISPR, the field marshal stated that through joint efforts of the government and the Pakistan Army, the country is moving towards stability, greater opportunities, and enhanced national prestige. The forum categorically rejected any nexus between terrorism, crime, and political interests.
The forum emphasized that individuals attempting to create divisions between the armed forces and citizens will face strict action. Terrorists and facilitators operating under Indian support will be dealt with without any leniency. National unity and stability will not be compromised, and political or other elements attempting to undermine it will be held accountable.
The field marshal also praised the special developmental initiatives of the Balochistan government. Participants reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and endorsed the country’s principled stance on the Palestinian issue.
The CDF expressed complete confidence in the Pakistan Army’s capability to safeguard regional integrity. Corps commanders were directed to maintain high standards of operational readiness, innovation, and professional expertise.
Additionally, the Army Chief and Chief of Defence Forces lauded the armed forces’ resolute efforts in intelligence-based counter-terrorism operations carried out across the country in recent months.
