Renowned drama writer Khalilur Rehman Qamar has said that he has no personal issue with Naumaan Ijaz while adding he simply harbours an intense dislike for him and always will.
Speaking during a television programme, Qamar said that his differences with several artists in the industry are no secret. Regarding Naumaan Ijaz, he stated that it is not merely a matter of disagreement or displeasure but a clear and strong aversion that he does not wish to hide.
While discussing his dispute with Mahira Khan, the 'Mere Paas Tum Ho' writer said Mahira is an excellent artist and that his relationship with her has always been based on respect and friendship. However, he added that he cannot forgive the words Mahira used against him.
Qamar expressed hope that one day he might be able to forgive those remarks, but for now, they remain unacceptable to him.
It is worth noting that tensions between the two escalated in 2020 when Mahira Khan, in a tweet, condemned Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar’s remarks against Marvi Sirmed and questioned how he continued to receive projects despite using derogatory language against women.
