The prime minister’s coordinator Ikhtiar Wali Khan has announced said a large delegation of businessmen will accompany Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on his visit to Pakistan, expected in November.
Speaking on Samaa News’ programme "Do Tok with Kiran Naz", Ikhtiar Wali Khan said the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif-led government continues to achieve significant progress. He referred to the events of May, describing Pakistan’s strong response to attacks, including support shown after the incident in Iran, where slogans of ‘Thank you Pakistan’ were heard for the first time. He also mentioned the recent developments in Qatar, where the prime minister demonstrated leadership of the Muslim world.
Ikhtiar Wali Khan said that once major issues are addressed, smaller problems will resolve themselves. He expressed confidence that the economy will improve substantially and stability will follow.
He confirmed that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is due to visit Pakistan alongside a sizeable business delegation and that the prime minister will also travel to Saudi Arabia. The Crown Prince is expected to announce new investments during his visit, with the government planning a formal programme to mark the occasion.
The coordinator added that the visit will be more than routine, signalling a significant step in bilateral relations.
