Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf on Tuesday urged the government to create a separate province for Hazara.
Sardar Yousuf stated in an interview with Samaa TV that the establishment of new provinces is a pressing necessity.
He stressed that establishing additional administrative units would allow for more effective governance and help tackle the problems faced by local populations.
The federal minister also highlighted that the formation of new provinces had been included in the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) election manifesto.
Opposition resignations, parliamentary responsibilities
Sardar Yousuf commented on the recent resignations of opposition members from parliamentary standing committees.
He warned that such actions could harm the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) politically.
Instead of stepping away, the federal minister suggested, opposition lawmakers should continue fulfilling their parliamentary duties to ensure proper legislative oversight and accountabili
