Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said on Friday that the solution to the Palestine issue must be a two-state solution and Pakistan will continue to pursue this path.
In a media briefing in Islamabad, Dar said that Pakistan rejects the Greater Israel plan. He asked the Afghan government to either hand over TTP members to Pakistan or remove them from Afghan territory. "Afghan authorities have assured that they will integrate individuals into the system," Dar added.
Responding to the statement by the Indian naval chief, Dar said it did not merit a reply. He added that all three major political parties in Dhaka expressed willingness to cooperate with Pakistan.
"Pakistan’s target to double or triple trade with Bangladesh in the coming years," he said.
The deputy prime minister said that the Trans-Afghan Railway project will extend 647 kilometres and require investment of 8 to 9 billion dollars. "Pakistan engaged in positive diplomacy during the Israel-Iran conflict," Dar said.
"The country strives to encourage dialogue and diplomacy in Iran and wishes to bring Iran and global powers closer as a sincere friend," he said.
"Next year marks 75 years of Pak-China relations. China supports Pakistan’s position on Jammu and Kashmir," Dar maintained.
"Progress in Pakistan-Bangladesh relations has resulted in six agreements. Both countries have removed visa requirements on diplomatic and official passports. A joint working group has been established to increase bilateral trade," he said.
Dar said, "In the UK High Commission, 1.7 million Pakistanis will benefit from Punjab land records. Passport procedures will speed up through a one-window operation, reducing one-hour processes to ten minutes. Weekly flights from Pakistan to Manchester will increase to three or four from September."
"Trade relations between Pakistan and the UK have strengthened significantly. The Chinese foreign minister’s visit to Pakistan was highly positive. The first phase of CPEC has almost completed, and work on the second phase continues," he said.
