Sialkot recorded 335 mm of rainfall in 24 hours, the highest in the city’s documented history over the past 64 years, according to official sources.
The previous record for 24-hour rainfall stood at 299.2 mm, set on 31 July 1961. That figure had remained unchallenged for more than six decades.
Another significant rainfall event occurred in 2010, when the city received 255 mm of rain within a single day.
Meteorological officials have confirmed that the recent downpour exceeded all previous records for rainfall intensity and volume over a 24-hour period in Sialkot.
