The Punjab School Education Department has prohibited the practice of presenting bouquets and gifts to officials during their visits to schools.
According to a letter issued to the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of all districts, Secretary School Education Punjab, Khalid Nazir Wattoo, directed that the expenses incurred on such items should instead be spent on the welfare of students.

The directive stressed that all education officers must adopt simplicity and discourage any form of exhibitionism during official visits.

“No officer of the School Education Department should be presented with flowers or gifts during inspections or meetings,” the letter stated.
