The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Lahore Zone has issued a notice to Aleema Khan, directing her to appear in person on July 17 on charges of involvement in "anti-state" activities via social media.
Sources divulged that the notice states that the purpose of her summons was to record a statement in her defence.
Aleema Khan has been accused of engaging in anti-state activities through social media. The sources added: "If she fails to appear, it will be presumed she has no defence and legal action will be initiated."
It is pertinent to note that the NCCIA is a subordinate agency of the Ministry of Interior.
