The prospects for restoring direct flights from Pakistan to the United States have significantly improved, according to sources within the aviation sector.
According to details surfaced on Wednesday, the officials from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have finalised plans for a visit to Pakistan, signalling renewed cooperation between the FAA and the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The FAA delegation is also expected to visit the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) headquarters during their upcoming visit, sources confirmed.
Discussions will be held between officials from both countries regarding the resumption of direct flights from Pakistan to the United States.
Sources within the CAA indicated that the FAA’s visit could pave the way for lifting the longstanding restrictions on direct air travel between the two nations.
Direct flights from Pakistan to the United States have been suspended for several years.
