Israeli military airstrikes across Gaza overnight have killed at least 14 Palestinians, including several displaced civilians sheltering in tents in southern Gaza, as the conflict intensifies.
Israeli media reports that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Israel Katz have directed the military to present a comprehensive plan within 48 hours to prevent Hamas from intercepting humanitarian aid in Gaza.
According to Channel 12 News, the Israeli army has already suspended aid deliveries, with the freeze expected to continue until the military’s strategy is finalized.
In a significant development, Brigadier General Esmail Qaani, the commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force, appeared in public during celebrations in Tehran, despite Israeli claims of his assassination.
His presence has raised questions about the accuracy of recent Israeli operations targeting top Iranian figures.
Meanwhile, tensions continue to surge in the occupied West Bank. Israeli settlers have reportedly set fire to Palestinian homes and vehicles in the town of Taybeh, east of Ramallah, following the killing of three Palestinians in a separate attack on Kafr Malek on Wednesday.
In an unexpected international intervention, former US President Donald Trump has called for an immediate cancellation of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s ongoing corruption trial.
Trump labelled the case “politically motivated” and likened it to a “witch-hunt,” echoing the language he has frequently used regarding his own legal battles.
The situation remains fluid, with escalating violence, disrupted aid efforts, and growing international scrutiny.
