Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir held a significant meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The two leaders participated in a luncheon at the Cabinet Room, followed by Field Marshal Munir’s visit to the Oval Office.

The meeting was also attended by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Representative for the Middle East Steve Witkoff.
The Pakistan Armed Forces spokesperson, ISPR, stated that President Trump praised Pakistan's contributions to peace efforts and counterterrorism operations.
During the meeting between Trump and Asim Munir, both leaders agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation in areas including counterterrorism, trade, technology, and mineral development.
During the discussions, the ongoing Iran-Israel tensions were thoroughly reviewed, and both sides emphasized the importance of resolving the conflict peacefully.
Field Marshal Munir extended an invitation to President Trump to visit Pakistan.
Pakistan's National Security Adviser was also present during the high-level engagement.
Army Chief thanked President Trump for the United States' constructive role in maintaining the Pakistan-India ceasefire and appreciated the President’s strategic insight and ability to address global challenges.
The conversation also explored cooperation opportunities in commerce, economy, minerals, artificial intelligence, energy, and cryptocurrency.
President Trump expressed interest in forging a strategic and long-term trade partnership with Pakistan.
He also acknowledged Field Marshal Munir’s decisive leadership amid a complex regional landscape.
Although the meeting was initially scheduled for one hour, it extended for over two hours. ISPR described the engagement as a key moment in the ongoing efforts to strengthen the Pakistan-U.S. partnership, which is rooted in shared goals of peace, stability, and prosperity.
