United Kingdom Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper has praised Pakistan's sustained diplomatic efforts that led to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding between the United States and Iran, mediated by Pakistan.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with the UK foreign secretary. She commended Pakistan's contribution to peace and stability in the region.

Dar reaffirms Pakistan commitment to regional peace
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Dar reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to promoting regional peace through dialogue, diplomacy and constructive engagement among all parties.
Leaders discuss regional situation
The two leaders also discussed matters of mutual interest and the regional situation. They agreed to remain in close contact.
