Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar reached Beijing on an official visit, underlining the importance of Pakistan-China relations and regional diplomacy.
Upon his arrival, Ishaq Dar was received at the airport by Yue Xiaoyong, China’s Special Representative for Afghanistan. The reception highlighted the diplomatic significance of the visit.

7th Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue
The seventh meeting of the Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue will be held in Beijing on Sunday. Ishaq Dar and his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, will co-chair the session. The dialogue is expected to cover bilateral cooperation and regional matters of mutual interest.
During the visit, Ishaq Dar will also participate in celebrations marking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations. Both countries plan to hold various commemorative and joint events throughout 2026 to celebrate the milestone.
Call with Saudi foreign minister
Soon after arriving in Beijing, Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan. The two leaders discussed the current situation in the region.

The deputy prime minister also discussed the Saudi-led coalition on Yemen and welcomed the recent statement issued by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He appreciated the efforts of all parties working to resolve regional issues amicably and through dialogue.
Talk with UAE, Turkiye counterparts
Dar also held a telephone conversation with his UAE counterpart to discuss the current situation in the region. Both leaders expressed satisfaction over the recent positive developments and improvements.

The FM later spoke on the phone with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan. The two leaders discussed the evolving regional situation and expressed appreciation for the earnest efforts undertaken by all parties to resolve issues through dialogue and diplomacy.
