Former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Yousuf said on Tuesday that the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) decision to boycott the remaining fixtures of the Asia Cup 2025 would be a good step.
Speaking on Samaa TV’s programme "Zor Ka Jor", Yousuf said he would support the PCB in case it chooses not to participate in the rest of the tournament.
He added that the entire nation should also support the board’s decision regarding the boycott. Criticising the Indian cricket team, Yousuf said India were playing for money and deceiving their own people.
Earlier, the International Cricket Council (ICC) rejected the PCB’s request to remove match referee Andy Pycroft from the Asia Cup 2025, according to sources, further intensifying tensions between the board and the global cricketing body.
