Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu retracts statement blaming security chiefs, IDF military intelligence chief Aharon Haliva and Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar, for the intelligence failures leading up to the Hamas attack on October 7, saying: "I made a mistake. The things I said following the press conference shouldn't have been said and I apologize for it."
Netanyahu added that he apologizes for it and gives his full support to all the security chiefs. He also said that he strengthens the Chief of Staff and all IDF commanders and soldiers.
