Pakistan women’s football team will not take part in the SAFF Women’s Championship due to be held in India.
According to details surfaced on Wednesday, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) had sought permission in connection with the event to be staged in India. Participation of the national women’s side in the tournament remained subject to government approval.
The draw for the SAFF Women’s Championship has been announced. The tournament is scheduled to take place from May 25 to June 6 in Goa, India.
Group A comprised Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bhutan. Meanwhile, Group B included defending champions Bangladesh along with India and Maldives.
