The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has issued an order for all government offices to operate from home every Friday as part of measures to conserve fuel.
The directive will remain in effect for two months or until conditions improve, whichever comes first.
According to a statement from the Department of Administration, the decision comes on the instructions of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, aiming to ensure responsible governance and reduce fuel consumption.
Officials said the move applies to all provincial government offices, with employees expected to work remotely every Friday during the two-month period.
In addition, spring holidays will be observed in all government and private educational institutions starting March 24. However, board and university examinations will continue as scheduled and will not be affected by the holidays.
