Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif has urged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to take measures to facilitate relief in view of the crisis in the Middle East.
According to details on Saturday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif at Jati Umra in Lahore. During the meeting, both leaders exchanged views on the overall political situation in the country.
The prime minister briefed Nawaz Sharif on the state of the national economy. Shehbaz Sharif said the rise in international oil prices had compelled the government to increase domestic prices.
He said efforts were under way to extend maximum possible relief so that the public might receive some benefit.
Nawaz Sharif said every possible step should be taken to ease the difficulties faced by the poor.
