Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has described the signing of the Makkah Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye as a major milestone for defence cooperation, regional security and shared prosperity among the three brotherly countries.
In a statement on X, Prince Faisal bin Farhan said the agreement, signed by the Saudi crown prince, the Türkiye president and the Pakistan's prime minister, reflects the strong brotherly ties and mutual trust between the three countries.
He said the agreement marks an important step towards strengthening defence cooperation and reflects the joint commitment of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye to address common regional threats.
The Saudi foreign minister said the Makkah Defence Agreement demonstrates the shared political resolve of the three countries to safeguard regional security, stability and peace. He added that it would also support the creation of a safer regional environment.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan said the agreement would help build a more secure future, promote development, prosperity and economic opportunities, and bring lasting benefits to the people of all three countries.
