Pakistan Test captain Babar Azam has praised the performance of the team's spinners after their key role in helping Pakistan level the Test series 1-1 against the West Indies.
Azam said the decision to include two spinners in the second Test at Port of Spain was taken after assessing the pitch conditions. He said he and the coach decided to add another spinner because the surface offered support for spin bowling.

"When we saw the pitch, it was not an ordinary pitch. It was a spinning track like the pitches we get in Pakistan," Babar Azam said.
The Pakistan captain said the spinners applied pressure on the West Indies in the second innings by taking early wickets, which changed the direction of the match.
"When you win a match, you feel satisfied as a team and as captain," Azam said.
Babar Azam, who shared the Player of the Series award with West Indies all-rounder Justin Greaves, also praised Abdullah Shafique for his good innings.
Pakistan will now prepare for their upcoming series against England in September after drawing confidence from their performance in the Caribbean.
