The State Bank of Pakistan’s (SBP) foreign exchange reserves declined on Thursday by $228 million in one week, according to weekly data released by the central bank.
The SBP’s reserves stood at $17.03 billion, while commercial banks held $5.41 billion in customers’ deposits, the data showed.
Moreover, the Pakistan’s total foreign exchange reserves remained at $22.44 billion.
The SBP said the decline in its foreign exchange reserves occurred due to external debt repayments.
