More monsoon rains are expected in different parts of the country till July 8, according to the Meteorological Department. Islamabad, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are likely to receive rain with thunderstorms today.
The Met Department said Islamabad is likely to receive rain with thunderstorms today as the monsoon spell continues across parts of the country.
More rains have been predicted in different regions till July 8.
Rain is expected in several areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Nowshera and Charsadda. Peshawar, Abbottabad, Haripur, Swabi, Shangla, Buner, Kohat, Kurram, Bajaur, Mohmand and Mansehra may also receive rain during the spell.
Punjab cities likely to receive rain
Rain is also likely in Rawalpindi, Murree, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum and Gujrat. The forecast also includes Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Faisalabad, Khushab, Sargodha, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot and Narowal.
Jhang, Okara, Kasur, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Bahawalnagar and Khanewal may also receive rain with thunderstorms.
Hot weather expected in Sindh
The Met Department said most districts of Sindh are likely to remain hot. However, rain with thunderstorms is expected in Tharparkar, while Karachi is likely to remain hot today.
Hot weather is expected in most parts of Balochistan. The coastal areas of the province are likely to remain partly cloudy.
