The Ministry of Health and the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the establishment of an integrated digital data management system.
According to details that surfaced on Thursday, Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal and the Nadra chairman attended the ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Mustafa Kamal said the Ministry of Health and Nadra would jointly establish a modern and integrated digital data management system.
He said the system would ensure patient registration, verification, tracking and real-time data sharing.
The federal minister said the number of hepatitis C patients in Pakistan had reached nearly 10 million, adding that Pakistan was among the countries with the highest number of hepatitis C cases in the world.
