Rawalpindiz fast bowler Naseem Shah has been ruled out of the remaining fixtures of the side in the ongoing 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
According to details that emerged on Saturday, the leading paceman has been dealing with fitness concerns. Naseem sustained the injury while fielding in the previous match and has been advised rest by the medical panel owing to a muscle strain in his leg. Rawalpindiz subsequently released him from their squad.
It is pertinent to note that the side’s hopes of reaching the play-offs had already faded after eight successive defeats. They recorded their first victory in the ninth match of the tournament against Islamabad United in a PSL derby.
