SpaceX has emerged as the largest buyer of Tesla’s Cybertruck, according to the latest available data.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, nearly one in every five Cybertrucks sold in the United States was reportedly purchased by SpaceX. The data, based on S&P Global Mobility registration records and first reported by Bloomberg News, indicates that SpaceX spent over $100 million on the electric pickup trucks.
While the large internal purchase helped support Tesla’s sales figures, overall demand for the Cybertruck still declined during the same period. Without SpaceX’s bulk buying, registrations for the vehicle would have dropped by as much as 51 percent in the fourth quarter.
The figures suggest that despite strong initial interest, the Cybertruck is facing weakening external demand, even as intra-company purchases temporarily offset the decline.
