March recorded 115 environmental samples across the country testing negative for poliovirus, according to the report.
Punjab has been declared polio-free, with no positive environmental sample detected. However, the report stated that poliovirus remains present in 12 environmental samples nationwide, with positive findings recorded.
In Sindh, the highest number was reported, where seven sites tested positive for poliovirus. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, four environmental samples were found positive, while one positive sample was recorded in Balochistan.
The report further noted that 24 environmental samples tested positive in January this year, while 14 were positive in February. In March last year, poliovirus was detected in 67 environmental samples.
