Redmi has officially unveiled the Redmi A7 Pro 5G, marking the debut of a “Pro” variant in its A-series lineup.
The new budget smartphone focuses on delivering a large display, reliable everyday performance, and extended battery life.
Design and Display
The device features a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display, offering an expansive viewing experience. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and interaction, along with a peak brightness of up to 800 nits.
It is available in Black, Mist Blue, and Sunset Orange color options, and carries an IP52 rating for protection against dust and light splashes.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Redmi A7 Pro 5G is powered by the octa-core Unisoc T8300 processor, paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Storage options go up to 128GB of UFS 2.2, with microSD expansion support included.
The smartphone runs Android 16 with HyperOS 3 on top. Redmi has also promised four years of OS upgrades and six years of security updates. Connectivity features include dual 5G SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.
Cameras
In the camera department, the phone comes with a 32MP rear primary sensor, while an 8MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.
Battery and Pricing
The device packs a 6,300mAh battery, supporting 15W wired charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging.
The Redmi A7 Pro 5G starts at $125 for the 4GB/64GB variant, while the 4GB/128GB version is priced at $135.
