According to lab tests, this larger battery delivers noticeably extended usage times, including up to 21.2 extra hours of Spotify playback, 16.1 additional hours of voice calling, and several more hours of browsing and app usage compared to typical smartphones.
In real-world testing, the device reportedly offers up to 11.8 hours of continuous gaming, 14.5 hours of navigation, and as much as 45 hours of video playback, highlighting strong endurance across both entertainment and productivity tasks.
Even at extremely low battery levels, the device remains functional. With Super Battery Saver mode enabled, 1% charge can still support up to 4 hours of WhatsApp standby or 41 minutes of 4G calling, allowing users to stay connected in critical moments.
To complement its large battery, the Y31d supports 44W FlashCharge technology for faster power recovery. vivo has also implemented a 25-layer security protection system designed to manage risks such as overheating, over-voltage, and short circuits, with continuous temperature monitoring to ensure safe charging.

The company claims the battery can retain at least 80% of its original capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, supported by an AI-based battery health algorithm that optimizes charging patterns and reduces battery wear over time.
