Indian stand-up comedian Samay Raina is once again trending on social media, this time receiving positive attention following the release of his comedy special Still Alive.
Raina first rose to fame through his YouTube show India’s Got Latent, which made him one of the most popular young stand-up comedians in India. However, his career faced setbacks after a controversial remark by fellow participant Ranveer Allahbadia during one of the episodes sparked backlash, leading to legal complaints and the removal of several related videos.
Following relief from the courts, Raina returned to the stage after a long break, gaining renewed popularity with his latest stand-up performances. In Still Alive, he addresses the controversies surrounding the show and reflects on how a single incident impacted his career. The special also includes satirical remarks about fellow comedians and Indian entertainers.
Meanwhile, media reports have made surprising claims about Raina’s wealth. According to industry estimates, he has accumulated a net worth ranging between ₹140 crore and ₹210 crore through content creation, YouTube revenue, brand endorsements, subscriptions, advertisements, and live performances. He is also reported to earn around ₹40 crore annually, placing him among India’s highest-earning digital creators.
His assets reportedly include a luxury apartment in Mumbai worth around ₹2 crore, a family home in Jammu and Kashmir, and several high-end vehicles including a Toyota Vellfire, Ford, Mini Cooper, Mercedes-Benz, and Honda City. He is also said to own expensive gadgets such as professional cameras and gaming consoles.
