Another case of monkeypox has been reported in Karachi, where a 22-year-old man has been diagnosed with the disease.
Dr Wahid Rajput of the Sindh Infectious Disease Hospital and Research Centre’s (SIDHRC) confirmed that the affected youth is a resident of the Buffer Zone area of the city and is presently exhibiting all symptoms associated with the illness. He added that the patient has no history of foreign travel.
Dr Rajput stated that the first case of monkeypox this year was reported in January, and this marks the second case of the year.
