A social media post by Bollywood’s “Dabangg” star Salman Khan in support of actor Rajpal Yadav has gone viral across platforms.
According to Indian media reports, Rajpal Yadav recently faced a sarcastic remark during an award ceremony, which sparked anger among fans.
At the recently held Chetak Screen Awards, when Rajpal was speaking about the complexities of fluctuations in global currencies, the host jokingly interrupted him, saying: “Rajpal bhai, no matter how much the dollar and rupee rise or fall, you’ll still have to return the same amount you borrowed.”
It is worth noting that Rajpal Yadav has recently been dealing with a major legal issue. The actor reportedly spent time in Tihar Jail in connection with a cheque bounce case involving Rs90 million, before being released on bail by the court.
Following the viral moment, Salman Khan took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote: “Rajpal bhai, you’ve been working for 30 years, and we’ve all worked with you repeatedly because we know your talent and the unique value you bring. You will continue to get work—and at the same dollar rate.”
He further added that sometimes things are said in the flow of the moment, advising him to focus on his work sincerely. Salman also remarked that whether the dollar goes up or down, it ultimately makes little difference, as earnings and responsibilities remain within India.
