Instagram is reportedly developing a new artificial intelligence (AI) feature designed to enhance Stories by creating smooth transitions between photos, effectively turning simple slideshows into video-like presentations.
The feature, called “AI Transition,” was first revealed by reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi, with multiple sources since confirming the development.
Currently, users can upload multiple images to Stories, which appear as a basic slide-to-slide sequence. The upcoming tool aims to improve this experience by using AI to fill the gaps between images, creating seamless transitions and a more dynamic visual flow.
The feature is expected to be introduced alongside the existing “separate” mode and is part of Instagram’s broader push to integrate AI-driven capabilities into the platform.
