The United States hockey team has withdrawn from the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup Qualifier under way in Egypt.
According to the International Hockey Federation (FIH), the US Department of State recalled the team owing to the war situation in the Middle East.
The FIH said the American squad departed Egypt for home on Tuesday.
It added that all remaining matches of the United States in the event have been cancelled.
