A failed theft attempt in India took an unusual turn when a suspected thief became badly stuck in a kitchen exhaust opening while trying to break into a house.
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, leaving users both surprised and amused, with many sharing humorous comments.
According to Indian media reports, the incident occurred in the state of Rajasthan, where a man attempted to enter the home of Subhash Kumar Rawat with the intention of stealing. During the attempt, he got trapped in the kitchen exhaust fan shaft and remained stuck there for nearly an hour.
At the time of the incident, the homeowner, Subhash Kumar Rawat, was away in Khatu Shyam Ji. The next afternoon, when his wife returned home and unlocked the main gate, she was shocked to see a man stuck in the kitchen exhaust opening, with half of his body inside the house and the other half hanging outside.
Police said that two suspects had entered the house with the intention of committing theft. When noise was heard, one suspect managed to escape, while the other was unlucky and got stuck in the exhaust opening.
After being informed, police arrived at the scene, rescued the trapped suspect, and took him into custody. Raids are being conducted at various locations to search for the absconding accomplice. Authorities said the arrested suspect’s criminal record will also be checked to determine further legal action.
The incident has sparked widespread discussion on social media, where users are calling it a unique example of a failed theft attempt.
