The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has approved the hockey qualification system for 2028 Olympics.
According to details surfaced on Thursday, 12 teams to compete in men’s and women’s hockey at Los Angeles Olympics. Host nation USA to qualify directly for both events, said the FIH.
Remaining 11 teams to qualify through three different routes, said the FIH. Two men’s and women’s tournaments to be held for Olympic qualification.
The FIH said that the top teams from Hockey Pro League season to qualify directly.
