Security forces on Monday executed an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the North Waziristan District in response to reported terrorist presence, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
During the operation, a fierce firefight ensued between troops and the terrorists, resulting in the elimination of terrorist Naikman Ullah.
The slain terrorist was actively engaged in various terrorist activities, including the reprehensible act of targeting and killing innocent civilians.
Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were successfully recovered from the neutralized terrorist.
A thorough sanitization operation was underway to eradicate any remaining terrorists in the area.
ISPR said that the security forces remain resolute in their commitment to eradicating the menace of terrorism from the country.
