Two people lost their lives in the accident, while four people sustained injuries in a gas cylinder blast in the Machar Colony building in Jafar Chowk on Monday that razed part of the structure.
The rescue team reached the site and shifted the injured and bodies to the hospital and expressed fear of more causalities. SAMAA TV reported that several gas cylinders were found lying near the gas cylinder blast site.
The SSP Kemari said Karachi police received a report of a cylinder explosion that damaged a building. He said concerned SHO police teams and Rangers were present at the gas blast site.
