Veteran Pakistani actor Asma Abbas has encouraged single women over the age of 60 to consider marriage if they find the right life partner, saying companionship becomes increasingly important later in life.
Speaking in a recent vlog, Abbas stressed that marriage should only be considered if a woman finds a kind and supportive person.
In her latest vlog, Asma Abbas said older women should not hesitate to marry if they meet someone who genuinely cares for them.
She explained that many people face challenges as they grow older and having a supportive partner can make life easier.
Praises Bushra Ansari, Samina Ahmed's marriages
Asma Abbas cited her sister Bushra Ansari and veteran actor Samina Ahmed as examples, saying both were fortunate to find loving husbands later in life.

She described their spouses as "gems" and said such caring partners are rare.
The actor said that ageing often brings health challenges, making emotional and practical support more valuable.

She remarked that having someone to care for you—even by reminding you to take your medication—can make a significant difference.
Marriage should be the right choice
While encouraging marriage, Abbas cautioned women against settling for unsuitable partners.
She said people should only marry if they find the right person, adding that many relationships can contain "red flags."
