Talks between the United States and Iran are still ongoing, but no final decision has been made, according to Iranian media and a member of the Iranian negotiating team.
The latest update comes as both sides review a recent US draft, while Tehran insists it will not ignore developments in Lebanon as part of any possible agreement.
According to Fars News, a member of Iran’s negotiating team confirmed that contacts between the US and Iran are continuing.
However, the official said no final decision has been reached so far.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi also told Lebanese media that the US and Iran have not broken off contacts, but there is currently no progress in the negotiations.
Islamabad round failed over nuclear issue
Iranian media reported that the first round of talks in Islamabad failed because Iran was not ready to make its nuclear programme part of the negotiations.

According to the report, Tehran refused to discuss the nuclear programme, which became the main reason for the failure of the initial round.
The nuclear issue remains one of the most sensitive points in the ongoing discussions between Washington and Tehran.
Iran links any deal to Lebanon
Iranian media said Tehran will not sign any agreement while ignoring Lebanon.
The report stated that Iran considers the situation in Lebanon an important part of the broader regional equation and will not move ahead with a deal that overlooks it.
Araqchi also warned that if Israel attacks Beirut, Iran will respond decisively.

According to Iranian media, if the United States and Iran reach a framework agreement, it will consist of four stages. No details were provided about what those four stages would include.
The proposed framework is still under discussion, and both sides have not yet agreed on its final shape.
Iran yet to respond to latest US draft
Iran has not yet sent its response to Washington regarding the latest US draft. Iranian media said Tehran is taking the draft seriously, but for now it will not send a formal reply to the United States.
Araqchi also confirmed that both Washington and Tehran are reviewing the recent draft carefully.
