Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Wednesday that the government has taken measures in the federal budget to provide relief to the public.
The prime minister met a delegation of leading industrialists and prominent business figures in Islamabad. The meeting focused on economic growth and consultations regarding the federal budget. The delegation included Mian Muhammad Mansha, Arif Habib, Atif Bajwa, Muhammad Ali Tabba and Musadik Zulqarnain, along with other leading industrialists and business personalities.
Welcoming the delegation, the prime minister described Pakistan’s leading industrialists and business figures as ambassadors of the country and a source of recognition for Pakistan across the world. He thanked the business community for supporting the government during difficult economic conditions.

He said a strong partnership between the government and the private sector is essential for economic growth.
The prime minister said consultation with the business community is of great importance in formulating policies related to the national economy. He added that measures are being taken in the budget to provide relief to the public and to bring the informal economy into the tax net.
Shehbaz Sharif said business-friendly policies have strengthened the economy and restored the confidence of foreign investors. He said Pakistan is pursuing an export-led growth strategy, which remains the central focus of the government's economic policy.
He said progress in the industrial, agricultural and information technology sectors would further strengthen the economy and create new employment opportunities.
The delegation welcomed measures aimed at tax reforms and improving the ease of doing business. It was also briefed on government initiatives relating to the promotion of business, industry and trade.
