The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released its latest One-Day International (ODI) player rankings, with Pakistan leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed climbing to fourth place after a seven-position rise.
According to the rankings issued on Wednesday, Abrar reached a career-best fourth position among ODI bowlers with 633 rating points following his performances in Pakistan's recent series against Australia.
Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi also made progress, moving up four places to 13th position with 593 rating points.
Among batters, Pakistan's Babar Azam retained his sixth position in the ODI rankings.
Salman Ali Agha dropped five places and slipped out of the top ten, falling to 14th position.
New Zealand batter Daryl Mitchell maintained his place at the top of the ODI batting rankings.
In the bowling rankings, Afghanistan's Rashid Khan remained in first position.
The latest rankings reflect performances in Pakistan's ODI series against Australia and the Test match between Ireland and New Zealand.
Australia's Nathan Ellis climbed 24 places to 44th in the ODI bowling rankings after taking six wickets in the two-match series.
In the batting rankings, Australia's Matt Renshaw advanced to 78th position after scores of 43 and 61, while Josh Inglis moved up three places to 57th and Cameron Green rose five places to 63rd.
In the Test rankings, New Zealand's Rachin Ravindra entered the top ten for the first time, moving to ninth place after scoring 121 against Ireland.
Tom Blundell rose eight places to 40th following his innings of 186 in the same match.
Ireland pacer Mark Adair returned to the Test bowling rankings in 24th position, while New Zealand's Nathan Smith climbed 24 places to 59th and Blair Tickner moved up nine places to 54th.
